Establishing traditions ....

This time of year reminds us of how important it is to be surrounded by those that mean the most to us. We see this demonstrated through out the season during the many parties hosted at May Farms to appreciate co-workers and honor family. We enjoy witnessing first hand the appreciation so many families and companies choose to share with those important to them at our farm each year. We are honored that these folks choose to treat our place like home and that they allow us to treat them like family. Many of them returning year after year.

This farm is our home where so many memories and traditions have been made, memories that inspired us to share our farm, our home, with those looking for a place to make memories and traditions of their own.

Being a part of these moments make our line of work feel more like play.

Dear Gary,

This note is to express our thanks to you, your family and staff for taking such good care of us at our Parker Ag Christmas Party at your place Saturday evening. Your place was decorated so nicely for the Christmas season and we all just felt right at home. The food was great and the service was delightful. We truly appreciate the care that was given to us. It is a privilege to do business with good friends like you. Please share our appreciation with all your crew.

From our family to yours, we wish you the best of Christmas blessings, and best wishes for a prosperous new year!

Very truly,

KIPP

Christmas Prep

The building looks amazing. We've been decorating to the point where I wish we could keep it up for 3 months rather than just one. Christmas Tree's and garland, colorful balls and dangling snowflakes, snowman displays and colored lights... I forgot to take pictures.

We have a very busy weekend this weekend with three events between Friday and Saturday. Tina, we call her grace, cut her thumb during some set up today and had to get 4 stitches! A little reminder of 09 Christmas at May Farms.

We hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving and are making plans to be with family for Christmas! Remember - our May Farms Christmas is a perfect night out on December 11th.

Farm Animals & Winter Plans

Our donkeys, Clementine and Dolly have gone out to another farm for the winter where kids can play with them everyday. They have more room there and we'll bring them back in the Spring when all of you start to visit again for field trips! Audrey and Ginger are going to Linda's to meet "Mr. Goat" - hopefully we'll have some babies this spring too.

The cats all stay put and keep the mice down. They love to make beds in the hay barns and stay out of the cold.

The potatoes need to be gleaned. Our potato expert said they should make it until December and then the ground starts to get too cold for them so we're having a "Potato Gleaning Party" December 2nd 12pm - Bring your own bag and come get some potatoes before they freeze!

Archery Hunting

Every year we host a 3D archery tournament called the Bijou Bulls Eye Classic the weekend after Memorial Day. We always try to give away hunts to deserving youth as many youth today are not given the opportunity to experience the outdoors in this manner whether it be the access to the land, monetary restrictions or just lack of exposure. This weekend 2 of our lucky winners will be deer hunting on the creek bottom. Hopefully they will take two lovely prizes - Good luck Samantha and Tyler! We'll post pictures next week!

Need a good place to eat downtown? Fuel Cafe off Ringsby Ct. - a little bit off of the beaten path but once you find it it's almost worth keeping it a secret! The owner, also our chef, Bob Blair is very passionate about his work and you can taste it in every bite! In the summertime the menu is inspired by their backyard garden. Fresh herbs and veggies. Delicious! Thanks for the great meal Bob!
